Back in the Water
Another weekend, another trip for the Towson men's and swimming and diving programs, though this weekend will be without services from the diving squad. Towson heads to Historic Williamsburg, Virginia for a dual at William & Mary Saturday afternoon.

In the Preseason CSCAA Coaches' Polls, neither men's or women's programs are mentioned among the CSCAA Preseason Coaches Poll this fall.
On the Road Again - Women
The Tigers head to the Commonwealth of Virginia this weekend for a dual swimming meet at William & Mary. The women's team is coming off a split weekend at Navy, falling to the host Mids (170-122) but topping Johns Hopkins (211-83). The Tigers head south with a 2-1 overall record so far this season. Towson had two 1-2-3 finishes in Annapolis, Maryland last weekend, getting a sweep in the 1650 yard freestyle with distance speedsters
Meagan Clark,
Karlee Carminati and
Bridget Thomas. The Tigers took the top three spots in the 100-yard butterfly as well behind efforts from
Hailey Ritter,
Ava Enriquez and
Samantha Casolo. Diver
Alyssa Largay, a transfer from the Naval Academy, won the 1-meter board and qualified for Zones and finished second on the 3-meter board. Towson collected five wins on the day at Lejeune Hall.
Second Time's a Charm - Men
The Towson men's swimming and diving team is coming off a pair of setbacks at Navy last week, falling to the Mids (191-107) and edged by Johns Hopkins (144-143).
Evan Bota picked up a win in the 100-yard backstroke while
Brian Benzing continued his unbeaten streak in the 100-yard breaststroke. Towson went 1-2 in the 100-yard free behind Baldino and
Michael Fazio. The former finished second in the splash and dash 50 free as well. Towson capped the tri-meet with a big effort in the 200-yard freestyle relay with Benzing, Fazio,
Trey Adkins and Baldino.

TJ Bearor and
Coby Ockert took third in that relay as well.
Scouting the Tribe - Women
The Tribe open its season with a 172-90 win over Johns Hopkins, one day after the Blue Jays competed at Navy with Towson. William & Mary won 12 of the 14 events contested at Hopkins' home pool. Missy Cundiff won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.24 en route to CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week honors.
Scouting the Tribe - Men
William & Mary's men's swimming team fell in its season opener against Johns Hopkins 201.5-59.5 just one day after the Blue Jays swam against Towson and Navy in Annapolis. Graham Hertweck took second in the freestyle sprints while the 200-medley relay team took second as well.

It's The Spider-Man Meme Where They're All Pointing at Each Other
- It's a Black & Gold invasion in Historic Williamsburg this Friday and Saturday.
- Four Towson Tiger teams will be in town for five events at William & Mary.
- Women's volleyball leads off on Friday at 7 p.m. at Kaplan Arena, followed by men's and women's swimming and diving on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Recreation Center.
- Towson football is up next at 3:30 p.m. at Zable Stadium with women's volleyball bookending the weekend with a 7:30 p.m. match back at Kaplan Arena.
- It's roughly a mile to go from Recreation Center to Zable Stadium and back over to Kaplan Arena to catch four Towson teams in action.
They're Going the Distance
- Towson's women's distance group has been nearly unstoppable this fall.

Karlee Carminati and
Bridget Thomas currently hold three of the top 12 fastest times in the 1650 free SCY this season, per USA Swimming.
- Clark put in a winning time of 16:43.72 at Navy, dropping 14 seconds from her previous best time. She has the the third-fastest time so far this year.
- Thomas dropped nearly 30 seconds from her previous best with a third-place time of 17:02.32 at Navy.
CAA Women's Diver of the Week

Alyssa Largay was named CAA Women's Diver of the Week on Tuesday.
- The junior transfer won the 1-meter dive at Navy last weekend while qualifying for NCAA Zones later this season with a 278.10.
- The Paradise Valley, Arizonan scored a second-place finish in the 3-meter event as well.
- It is the second weekly honor won by a member of the women's team this fall, joining
Meagan Clark's honor to open the season.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week

Ryan Baldino opened his season with a CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week performance, announced Tuesday.
- The senior freestylist won the 100-yard freestyle, with a third-place effort in the 200-yard free.
- He was on two successful relays, including the winning 200-yard freestyle event.
- It was Towson's first weekly honor of the year on the men's side this season.

Picking up 10 first-place finishes, the Towson women's team edged out visiting William & Mary 168-125 at Burdick pool nearly two years ago. The Tigers utlized depth scoring to pick up their first home win of the season. Many current athletes scored in the swimming events, including
