BOSTON — The Towson University cross country finished in seventh place at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships on Saturday morning in Boston, Massachusetts. The meet was hosted by Northeastern in Franklin Park with windy, rainy conditions throughout the morning.
Elon won its third consecutive women's conference title with 27 points. Maria Ahm of the Phoenix also earned back-to-back individual victories with a time of 21:26.20.
The Tigers ended the race with 184 total points and an average time of 23:41.50. The black & gold finished ahead of both Hofstra and UNCW.
Ainsley Jacobs paced the Tigers with a final time of 22:15 to place 11th in the 6k race.
Nicole Bezborodko (23:46.80), Alison Betler (24:02.20) and Casey Walter (24:08.90) placed 38h, 47th and 49th respectively, to place in the top-50.
Sara Kindbom (24:14.60), Alexis Mogensen (25:23.10), Claire Hauser (25:24.30) and Aubrey Schaffer (25:46.90) also collected points for Towson.
Next up, Towson will return to Lehigh's Goodman Stadium for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday, Nov. 12.
