PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla.- After two rounds of the Jupiter Women's Invitational,
Julia Calomiris is the top finisher for the Tigers finishing the day with a score of 4-over 146 putting her tied for 13th.
Letizia Bagnoli of Florida Atlantic leads the field with a score of 7-under 135.
Jordan Cornelius is also sitting in the top-20 tied for 19th with a score of 6-over 148.
ROUND ONE
Both Calomiris and Cornelius led the black and gold with scores of 5-over 76. Calomiris birdied No. 12. Cornelius had four birdies in the round.
Their round one performance put them tied for 24th place.
Odette Font Garcia was in the third spot for the Tigers with a score of 9-over 80. She birdied No.4.
Overall, the Tigers finished the round with eight birdies.
ROUND TWO
Calomiris had a stellar round as she led the team with a score of 1-under 70. She added three more birdies to her scorecard bringing her tournament total to four.
"Julia was very poised and comfortable all day today," shared head coach
Shannon Briggs. "I know she wants to have a cleaner start tomorrow to even go a bit lower in her final round."
Picking up on more birdie, Cornelius improved her round score by four strokes finishing with a score of 1-over 72. She has five birdies in the tournament so far.
Font Garcia also improved her round score by four strokes ending the day with a score of 5-over 76. She added one more birdie to her scorecard bring her total to two.
Reflecting on the day, Coach Briggs noted that the team is "focused on the positives of the day and the opportunity that was presented to come down to Florida."
"The ladies really want to make a push tomorrow to prove that they can move up the leaderboard and I know it will happen."
