Bethlehem, Pa. — The Towson University cross country team finished in 23rd place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Lehigh, on Friday afternoon.
The black & gold ended the 6k race with 613 points to place ahead of four other programs. The team tracked a total time of 1:56.46 and an average time of 23:22.
Georgetown won the meet with 43 total points and West Virginia's Ceili Mccabe (20:05.7) earned the individual victory.
Ainsley Jacobs was the top Tiger finisher, coming in 66th place with a time of 22:13.8.
Nicole Bezborodko (23:04.2), Casey Walter (23:29.8) Alison Betler (23:54.2), Alexis Mogensen (24:22.6) and Aubrey Schaffer (24:04.2) also placed in the top-189 runners to collected points for Towson.
The NCAA Championship Selection Show will take play Saturday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com. The championship meet is schedule for Saturday, Nov. 20 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
