Kiawah Island, S.C. – The Towson women's golf team finished the final round of the Kiawah Island Classic on Sunday afternoon on the Oak Point Course to conclude the three-day tournament.
The Tigers finished in 38th place with a total tournament score of 965 (+101). DBU finished on top with a final score of 865 (+1).
Jordan Cornelius (69-76-82) finished the tournament tied for 41st place with four other golfers. She shot 10-over 82 in the final round of competition. The junior ended with a total of 227 strokes (+11). The top individual finisher was Faith DeLaGarza of DBU who shot 213 (-3).
Following behind, Julia Calomiris (79-79-76) had her best round of the tournament shooting four-over-par 76 on Monday. She ended the tournament +18 with 234 strokes taken.
Rounding out the squad, Faith Mcilvain (82-85-82) shot 10-over 82, Jayla Kang (88-91-83) carded 11-over 83 and Madison Barber (86-86-86) ended with 14-over 86.
Cornelius, Barber and Mcilvain all made one birdie in the final round while Calomiris added an eagle on the 17th hole.
Next up, Towson will travel to Williamsburg, Va. To compete in the William & Mary Intercollegiate from March 29-30.
