GREENVILLE, S.C. –
Brad Riley carded a season-best 73 on Sunday during the final round of the Furman Invitational at the Furman University Golf Club. The host school won the tournament, which featured 17 teams from nine states.
Riley, a sophomore, had birdies on the 5
th and 8
th holes and was even par on the day through 14 holes before settling for a two-over round. Riley was the Tigers second best performer during the three-day tournament.
Justin Griffith, who shot a career-low 69 during the second round yesterday, was Towson's top finisher after three rounds, posting a seven-over par 220. The junior rebounded from a rough start to his round by making three birdies during a six-hole stretch on the front 9. He posted a 76 today and finished tied for 29th overall.
Jackson Courtney started the round with birdies on three of his first six holes. The senior was under par on the day through 10 holes and eventually carded a three-over 74. Courtney improved his score each round.
Jeremy Summerson (75-76-78) and
Branden Nguyen also competed for the Tigers this weekend.

Towson's will be back in action at the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational in Fayetteville, Pa. The two-day tournament begins Friday, April 2 at the Penn National Golf Club. The event will feature the Towson debut of
Rick van der Nat, who earned a spot by winning the Towson Cup last fall. The junior had to sit out the first three tournaments of the spring after transferring from Iowa Western Community College.
