Annapolis, Md. – In its last regular season tournament of the 2021 spring season, the Towson women's golf team will compete in the Navy Spring Invitational.
The tournament hosted by Navy will consist of two rounds starting on April 2 and ending on April 3.
Golfers will play 18 holes each day at the Naval Academic Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.

TEE TIMES AND FORMAT
Action is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday. For the first round, Towson will tee off at 9:20 a.m.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
In their previous tournament, the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, the Tigers placed 6th with a total score of 954 (+90) out of 12 teams. Cornelius (69-76-74) led the team with a 7th place finish at the end if the three rounds with 230 strokes (+14). She had her best performance in the final round, carding two-over-par. Calomiris (76-83-78) was the next top finisher for Towson with a score of 234 (+18).
LAST TIME AT THE NAVY SPRING INVITATIONAL
The Tigers last competed in the Navy Spring Invitational in April of 2018. Alex Lowe ended with a two-round score of 160 and led the Tigers to a 2nd place finish out of nine teams. Lowe placed fifth overall in the tournament. Sarah Perine and Jenny Buchanan also finished inside the top-20.
SPRING LEADER
Cornelius leads the Tigers with a 76.5 average through two tournaments and six rounds of play this spring. She has taken 459 total strokes so far.
NEXT UP
Towson will compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship from Sunday, April 11 through Tuesday April 13 to end the 2021 spring campaign. The 54-hole event will be held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.
