TOWSON, Md. — Rising sophomore Faith McIlvain has been selected as Varsity Sports Network's No. 2 Girls Golfer of the Decade (2010-19) in the Baltimore Metro Area. She is one of three female golfers to receive the honor.
At Marriotts Ridge, Mcilvain enjoyed a very successful high school career, winning multiple individual and team accolades. Under head coach Mark Jr. Dubbs, Mcilvain won three consecutive 1A/2A state team championships. She also won back-to-back individual state titles her sophomore and junior seasons.
Mcilvain was named Howard County Times Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019. She was an All-County first team selection her junior and senior years. The Ellicott City, Md. native helped lead her team to consecutive county and district titles while winning individual county titles her sophomore, junior and senior years. She also won solo district titles her junior and senior seasons. In addition, Mcilvain also won the girls division of district championships her junior and senior years.
