TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University athletics department has announced that
E.A. Jackson will not return as head coach of Towson field hockey and will embark on a nationwide search for its next head coach.
"After an evaluation of our field hockey program, we have decided to make a change," said Towson Athletics Director Steve Eigenbrot. "We are grateful for the dedication that Coach Jackson has made to Towson Field Hockey and we wish her and her family nothing but the best in the future."
In six seasons from 2017-22, Towson finished with a 16-81 record under Jackson. 2019 CAA All-Rookie Team member Georgia Beachley earned a place in the top-10 in Towson history in goals and points while Lena Vandam was a two-time member of the All-CAA First Team at goalkeeper, including being the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in Spring 2021.
