DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Three members of the Towson University women's golf team shot 75 or better during the third round of the Babs Steffens Invitational Monday at the LPGA International-Hills Course.
Jordan Cornelius was Towson's top finisher after shooting a 2-over 74 on Monday. The senior had four birdies during the round and finished with eight overall, tied for fifth in the field. It was the 11
th time in 24 career tournaments that Cornelius has been Towson's top performer.
Julia Calomiris shot 75 (+3) for the second straight round. The senior made three birdies on Monday, including back-to-back at numbers 12 and 13.
Faith McIlvain shot an even par round of 72 with two birdies, two bogeys and 14 pars. The sophomore shot 2-under par on the Par 5 holes during the tournament.
Overall, Towson finished the 54-hole tournament in 9
th place (324-306-302=932). Campbell earned the team title by 23 strokes over Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Boston University after rounds of 293-295-293.
The Babs Steffens featured 11 teams – Towson, Alabama State, Boston University, Campbell, Cincinnati, Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgetown, North Alabama, Seminole State, Stetson and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. A total of 62 players were entered, including individuals.

- Towson shot 302 for the round and made 10 birdies
- McIlvain, who was 2-under par after nine holes, shot 1-under on the back 9
- Cornelius made three birdies on the back 9 and shot even par on the front 9
- Calomiris was +1 on the back 9
