TOWSON, Md. — Head coach of the Towson University women's golf team, Shannon Briggs, has announced the fall 2022 schedule. She revealed the upcoming four tournament-slate on Friday afternoon.
"Focusing on a cadence of competitions with familiar courses for our returners will provide early confidence for our team," Briggs said. "Our continued goal to improve our overall GolfStat ranking will be a provided opportunity early this season playing nationally top-ranked programs."
The Tigers will begin the campaign with the William & Mary Fall Invitational from Sept. 12-13. The tournament will take place at the Kingsmill Resort (River Course) in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Later that week, the team will head to Happy Valley to compete in the Nittany Lion Invitational, Sept. 17-18. The Black & Gold will see action on either the Penn State Blue or White Course in State College, Pennsylvania.
Then, from Sept. 26-27, Towson will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Grandover Fall Classic. The event will be held at the Grandover Resort (East Course).
Finally, to wrap up the fall, the Tigers will head back to North Carolina to compete in the Pirate Collegiate Classic from Oct. 10-11. This time, the team will travel to Greenville, North Carolina for the tournament hosted at the Greenville Country Club.
"I am excited for our young, developing team to continue setting the standard of excellence, attracting players to grow at Towson," added Briggs. "Our practice schedule will allow us to prepare on a variety of courses in the area including Caves Valley and Hillendale Country Club."
