Towson Tennis Announces Fall Tournament Schedule

TOWSON, Md. — The Towson University women's tennis team and head coach Jamie Peterson has announced the 2022 fall tournament schedule on Monday afternoon.

"I am anxious to see how the team fares this fall without the top two singles players from last year," said Peterson. "I am really looking forward to every player stepping up their commitment to tennis and the team as a whole.  All of the girls have the ability to do so, but need to lock in on game improvements, have good energy, mental toughness, and let those qualities be infectious throughout the team. We do have a good chance to improve on last year's record as long as the commitment is there team wide."

The Tigers will compete in four tournaments during the fall season to prepare for the spring season. Two tournaments will take place in Maryland while the remaining tournaments will be in Virginia.

The team is set to kick things off at the Tribe Invitational Tournament hosted at William & Mary on Sept. 17 & 18.

Towson will compete in the Bedford Cup for the second straight year in College Park starting on Sept. 30 and wrapping up on Oct. 2.

From there, the Tigers will host the Fall Tiger Classic for the second straight year on Oct. 14-16 to wrap up the season. The tournament will be at the Tiger Tennis Complex.
