"This was a solid start to the season, from a team perspective." Head coach
Mike Larkin said. "The guys are on the verge of playing some really good golf and it nearly happened this week. We made enough birdies to win the tournament, but we made way too many big numbers. The course played tricky in spots that caused some of those, but in other spots it just comes down to paying more attention to detail. All in all, I feel great about where the team's at. We'll learn from the mistakes we made this week and everyone will be a little more dialed for the next tournament."
Missouri won the tournament with a score of 847 (-17), matching their score from last year's tournament. Stetson placed second after earning a 858 (-6).
The team will be heading back to New York this weekend (Sept. 10
th & 11
th) to compete in the Doc Gimmler Tournament, hosted by St. John's in Farmingdale.
