GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Towson University women's golf team wrapped up the second and third rounds of the UNCG Collegiate with season low scores to complete the tournament tied for sixth place. The Black & Gold saw a seven-stroke improvement from round one, scoring a 296 for the second 18 holes. The team stayed consistent for the third and final round, scoring 297. Two Tigers finished in the top 20 individually.
High Point University had rounds of 289-287-282 to win the tournament, finishing as the only team under par. The Panther's had two athletes place in the top 5, including individual champion Anna Howerton. Howerton shot under 70 for each round to finish 15-under, 201.
Madison Barber fired a 31 for the front nine of her second round of 18 holes, which marks a program record for 9-hole score. The graduate student notched five birdies and four pars to finish the round shooting a 73, one stroke less than her first-round score. Barber continued to build on her success, shooting a career low 70 supported by five more birdies. She finished the tournament tied for eighth, 2-over par.
Peyton Costabile matched her first-round score to finish up her next 18 holes, scoring a 74. Costabile shaved two strokes off for her final round, shooting an even par 72 to complete the tournament in 15
th place. Her third round score also marks a collegiate career low for the sophmore. She recorded nine birdies total across 54 holes.
Faith McIlvain dropped two strokes from her first day performance to wrap up her second round, shooting an even par 72 and notching four birdies. The senior shot 76 for her final round.
Isabella Portokalis shot 78 for both her second and third round, adding two more birdies.
Grace Oristian finished the tournament after rounds of 77 and 79, improving by over 10 strokes from her score from the first 18 holes.

The Tigers cap off their fall season with another tournament down south, attending the Edisto Island Invitational hosted by CAA foe College of Charleston. The event will take place at The Plantation Course in Edisto Island from October 16-17.
