GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Towson University women's golf team is on to its second consecutive Fall Invitational of the 2023 season, heading down to North Carolina for the tournament hosted by UNCG from October 9-10. The 54-hole event is set to be held at the par-72, 6020-yard Grandover Resort West Course. Both days begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with 36 holes being played for the first round and the remaining 18 for the second.
The Field
Towson will be joined by UNCG, Gardner Webb, High Point, Marshall, NC Central, Longwood, Radford, Winthrop, App State, Tennessee Tech, Richmond, UNC Asheville, Presbyterian, Citadel, NC A&T, Georgetown, Seton Hall and Georgia State.

The Black & Gold are coming off of their highest tournament finish since 2021 at last weekend's Navy Fall Invitational led by graduate student
Madison Barber who earned a podium finish.
Towson placed second overall out of 15 teams after steady rounds of 305 and 308, finishing six strokes behind tournament champion Navy.
Madison Barber earned her highest finish in her collegiate career, placing second in an 88-player field after rounds of 72 and 75. Barber finished only one stroke behind the individual top spot claimed by Navy's Mara Hirtle. Her performance was rewarded with a Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week award, announced by the league this past Wednesday.
Faith McIlvain was Towson's next finisher, placing eighth after shooting 74 and 79.
Up Next
The Tigers cap off their fall season with another tournament down south, attending the Edisto Island Invitational hosted by CAA foe College of Charleston. The event is hosted at The Plantation Course in Edisto Island from October 16-17.
