Track & Field Earns Two Gold Medals On Second Day Of UCF Knights Invite

Orlando, Fla – After two days of competition, the Towson University track and field team has completed the UCF Knights Invite. The Tigers wrapped up their time in Florida with two gold medals and multiple PRs.

How it Happened – Track

The 4x100 relay made up of Sydney Tucker, Cristal Cuervo, Ty'Liyah Hannah and Maya Tucker took first place out of nine other teams with a season best time of 46.35.
Leeann Redlo competed in the 100-meter hurdles for the first time in her collegiate career, clocking a 14.94.
Cristal Cuervo placed fourth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.20.
Maya Tucker had the top time for Towson in the 100-meter dash, placing eighth with a 12.01. Ty'Liyah Hannah (12.15) and Sydney Tucker (12.24) competed in the event as well.
The 4x400 relay wrapped up the meet, placing fifth after finishing in 3:51.45. Made up of Maya Tucker (57.29), Sydney Tucker (59.42), Cristal Cuervo (55.88) and Ty'Liyah Hannah (58.80), the time was good enough for eighth all-time in program history.

How it Happened – Field

Georgia Coleman finished in second place for the hammer throw with a mark of 53.57.
Leeann Redlo claimed first place in the high jump with 1.73 meters, tying her for second all-time in Towson history.
Aliyah Anderson picked up her second PR of the meet, earning a mark of 11.86 meters in the triple jump to place fifth.
Manie Mevo finished right behind Anderson in the triple jump, taking sixth place with an 11.67 meter effort.
