Williamsburg, VA – The Towson University women's golf team completed the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in 15
th place after rounds of 326, 313 and 336 to finish with a final score of 975 (+48).
University of Pennsylvania won the event with a 906 (+42). Sarah Kahn from High Point University placed first individually with a score of 213 (-3). She was the only player to score under par.
Isabella Portokalis (79-78-84) was the top finisher for the Tigers, ending the tournament tied for 52
nd. She concluded the event at 25-over, adding one birdie during the final round.
Odette Font Garcia (81-79-86) was next for Towson, tying for 72
nd. The sophomore was on par for 26 holes across three rounds of play. She recorded three birdies total, one each round.
Rayab Lee (84-79-82) finished at 29-over, notching a birdie on hole 16 of the final round.
Not too far behind was
Faith McIlvain (83-79-84), finishing the tournament at 30-over. The seniors best round was the second 18 holes, where she was 7-over with one birdie.
Kyndall Campbell (83-89-77) and
Madison Barber (83-77-92) rounded out the squad.
This tournament concluded the Tigers regular season as they will be heading to Colonial Athletic Association Championships next. The three day tournament will take place in Southport, North Carolina from April 13-16.
