State College, PA – The Towson University men's golf team is gearing up for it's final regular season tournament, heading to Penn State for the Rutherford Intercollegiate on April 15 and 16.
The Nittany Lions are the reigning champion of this tournament and have earned the title for the past four consecutive years. In total Penn State has won the Rutherford Intercollegiate 29 times.

TEE TIMES AND FORMAT
The first 36 holes of this two-day tournament will be played on Saturday with a 7:30 a.m. tee time. The remaining 18 will take place on Sunday, teeing off at 8:00 a.m.
THE FIELD
Tigers will be joined by Appalachian State, Cal Baptist, Central Michigan, Connecticut, Delaware, George Mason, Georgetown, Penn State, Rhode Island, Temple and Valparaiso.

LAST WE SAW THEM
The Black & Gold placed third overall at the Southern Invitational last week after posting a final score of 867 (+3). Towson found most success on the final day as five of the Tigers saw at least a five-stroke improvement from the previous round. Four Tigers placed individually in the top-25, including a podium finish from
Jeremy Summerson who earned bronze. Summerson finished the tournament at 6-under after rounds of 67-68-75, ranking second for amount of birdies made at 16 across the 54 holes. His performance earned him Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Golfer of the Week (4/5). The other three to finish in the top-25 were
