Fairfax, VA – The Towson University track and field team is set for the 47
th annual ECAC Division I Outdoor Championships, taking place at George Mason University from May 12-14.
Towson placed third at last year's event, ending the meet with 56 points.
Georgia Coleman took fourth place in the hammer throw with a toss of 55.33m while
Fatimah Owens saw the highest ECAC Championship finish in program history in the discus throw after placing second with a mark of 47.31m. The Tigers will look to continue their streak of finishing in the top-5 at ECACs, as they have accomplished for the past five seasons.

Start Times: Competition on Saturday opens with the hammer throw at 10:00 a.m. on the field and 1:45 p.m. with the 100m hurdle prelims. Sunday begins at 11:00 a.m. with the 4x100 relay.
Field: The Tigers will be up against athletes from VCU, Coppin State, Mount St. Mary's, Fordham, UMBC, Coppin State, St. Joseph's (PA), Loyola (MD), William & Mary, Navy, NJIT, St. Francis (NY), St. Peter's, Colgate, UMass Lowell, Duquesne, Harvard, Lehigh, Penn, George Mason, Central Connecticut, Caisinus, Columbia, and more.

Last Meet Recap
The Tigers are coming off of a seventh-place finish at last weekends outdoor Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship, supported by multiple PRs and seven podium finishes including a gold medal performance from freshman
Manie Mevo.
Georgia Coleman opened the meet with a third-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 58.17m. The 4x100 relay (

Maya Tucker) started off competition on Saturday with another bronze medal for Towson, clocking a school record time of 45.38. Mevo followed up posting a huge PR of 12.35m in the triple jump to take the championship title as a freshman.
Maya Tucker picked up her second medal of the day in the 100m dash after running 11.73. She went on to earn another silver medal in the 200m dash (23.94), joined on the podium by
Cristal Cuervo who took third with a time of 23.96.
Leeann Redlo was the second freshman to make the podium, placing second in the high jump with a mark of 1.68m.

The top 48 athletes in their respective individual events and top 24 relays will qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary Round, taking place at the University of North Florida from May 24-27 at Hodges Stadium.
