CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Towson University tennis team had two Tigers representing the Black & Gold Saturday afternoon at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional Championship.
 
Chandre Boshoff and Kiersten Tambe took on No. 9 Amelie Jewelwics and Mariam Ibrahim Mohamed Metwally.  The Tigers put up a fight against tough competition, but ultimately fell 4-8 to the top 10 ranked duo from Virginia Commonwealth University.

"Chandre and Kiersten had a great opportunity to advance and overall played well," head coach Jamie Peterson said. "[The two were] up 4-3 and lost a couple key points. Lost the momentum and couldn't get it back. I think they proved themselves and their team as they were competitive and won against some of the toughest teams in the region."
