TOWSON, Md. – Towson field hockey forward
Anouk Westerink was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) D-I All-Region Second Team for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The Netherlands international is the first Towson player to receive All-Region honors since Christina Boarman in 2008 and is the first Tiger to ever be named to an All-Region team as a freshman.
Westerink had an impressive freshman season that saw her start every game for the Tigers and finish with six goals and thirteen points with 28 shots on goal. She has also been named to the All-CAA First Team and the CAA All-Rookie Team and was a one-time CAA Rookie of the Week.
