UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Towson University track & field team wrapped up competition at Penn State's Sykes & Sabock Challenge on Saturday. Several Tigers posted new PRs and freshman
Baara Stewart picked up an individual win for the Black & Gold in her respective event.
Leeann Redlo ran a season best 8.99 in the 60m hurdles for ninth place while freshman
Morgan Lane clocked a new PR of 9.21 in the same event for 15
th place.
Aubrey Schaffer dropped 14 seconds in her mile, crossing the finish line with a new PR of 5:15.14. Her previous personal best time was set in January 2023.
Baara Stewart won her second 800m race in her collegiate career, clocking a PR of 2:17.24 for first place. Her time ranks fourth all-time in program history.
Lexi Mogensen continued the success for the 800 squad, running a PR of 2:19.65 which places her at fifth on the all-time list.
Obanijesu Aofolaju won her heat in the 600m after clocking a 1:41.36 followed by
Mia Martinez in second with a 1:41.93.
Skylar Galiano-Holmes and
Omokemi Balogun placed eighth and 10
th respectively in the triple jump finals. Galiano-Holmes earned a mark of 11.55m on her sixth attempt while Balogun had a leap of 11.41m on her first attempt.
