JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Towson University women's golf team completed the first round of the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis University. The Tigers sit in second place after carding a 311 (+23), with all five Towson golfers ranked inside the top 20 on the leaderboard.
Bucknell currently leads the field with a combined score of 302 (+14), followed by Towson in second. Howard and Purdue Fort Wayne tied for third at 312 (+24).
Victoriah Kuranga was the highest finisher of the day for the Tigers, currently tied for the 4th place overall after shooting 76 (+4). The sophomore tallied two birdies.
Luciana Calbimonte follows closely behind in a tie for eighth place after shooting a 77 (+5), highlighted by three birdies.
Payton Balliet sits tied for 10th place with a first-round score of 78 (+10).
Grace Oristian is tied for 16th after posting 80 (+8). Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon rounds out Towson's lineup, tied for 20th place after recording 81 (+9) on the first day of play.
