JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Towson University women's golf team completed the final round of play at the Red Flash Invitational on Tuesday. The Tigers finished in third place, highlighted by sophomore Victoriah Kuranga who picked up her first collegiate individual title at Saint Francis.
Bucknell secured the team title after posting a combined 599 (+23) on the field, followed by Howard in second place at 608 (+32). The Black & Gold rounded out the podium in third place, tallying a 614 (+38).
Victoriah Kuranga carded an even-par 72 in the final round, highlighted by three birdies and an eagle, marking a new collegiate low for the sophomore as a Tiger. She went on to claim the individual title in a playoff against Duquesne's Sasha Petrochko, carding pars on all three holes while Petrochko finished with two pars and a double bogey.
Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon matched Kuranga's second-round score at an even-par 72, marking the senior's second-lowest collegiate round. The performance propelled her 12 spots up the leaderboard to finish tied for eighth.
Grace Oristian finished tied for 21st place after tallying 78 (+6) in the final round.
Payton Balliet posted an 81 (+9) on day two to tie for 25th place. Luciana Calbimonte rounded out Towson's lineup tied for 29th place after shooting 83 (+11).
