Southport, N.C. - The Towson University women's golf team completed the first of three rounds of the CAA Championships Friday at The Reserve Club at St. James. The Tigers are currently tied for sixth place alongside William & Mary.
Charleston and Delaware are currently tied for first place, each posting a score of 297 in the opening round. UNCW trails closely behind in third with a first-round score of 299.
Peyton Costabile led the Tigers on the first day, currently tied for 21st place after shooting a 6-over par, 78.
Grace Oristian followed not far behind and is currently tied for 25th place after a 7-over par, 78 performance. The sophomore recorded two birdies.
Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon is tied for 27th place after tallying a 9-over par, 81 on day one. The junior also recorded two birdies.
Kalyn Doss is tied for 29th place after shooting 10-over, 82.
Luciana Calbimonte rounded out the squad after recording a 17-over, 89 in round one.
