Gerzabek Salem Announces 2025 Field Hockey Schedule

Towson, Md. – Towson University field hockey head coach Katie Gerzabek Salem has announced the team's full schedule for the 2025 season featuring 18 games with 13 set to be played at the TU Field Hockey Complex. The Tigers will play 13 non-conference games and five Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) contests.
 
Admission to all Towson home games at TU Field Hockey Complex is free to the public.
 
The Tigers finished the 2024 season with a 7-11 record while making a plus-21 improvement in goal-differential from the 2023 season. Entering coach Gerzabek Salem's third season, Towson's top returners include rising sophomore Anouk Westerink, the Netherlands international became the first Towson freshman to be named to the All-CAA First Team in school history, the attacker was also on the CAA All-Rookie Team and the NFHCA All-Region Second Team. The Tigers also bring back another CAA All-Rookie team member in midfielder Olivia Miller, as well as the 2025 CAA Leadership and Sport Excellence Award winner for field hockey Megan Popp.
 
Towson leads off the season with four consecutive home games, first the Tigers will host Appalachian State on Friday, Aug. 29 at 4 p.m., before welcoming Davidson on Sunday, Aug 31 at noon. The next week will start with a matchup against Lock Haven on Friday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m., followed by a game versus Sacred Heart on Sunday, Sept. 7 at noon.
 
The Tigers will then spend a week on the road, starting with a short trip to face James Madison on Friday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m.; before journeying to take on Queens on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.
 
After that, Towson returns to the TU Field Hockey Complex for a five-game homestand beginning with a game against VCU on Friday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. before a matchup against Rider on Sunday, Sept. 21 at noon. The Tigers next start CAA play by welcoming Northeastern on Friday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. The following Friday, Oct. 3, Towson will host Delaware at 3 p.m. before closing out the homestand by welcoming Georgetown on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 12 p.m.
 
The Tigers will hit the road on the midweek to play American on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m., before returning home to host William & Mary in CAA play on Friday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. and St. Francis on Sunday, Oct. 12 at noon.
 
Towson plays its first road CAA game on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. when the Tigers visit Drexel, then are back at the TU Field Hockey Complex for a matchup against Bucknell on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
 
The final home game of the season will see the Tigers host Monmouth in CAA play on Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m., Towson the closes out the season on the road with a CAA matchup at Hofstra on Friday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.
 
The CAA Tournament will be held at Monmouth University with semifinals taking place on Friday, Nov. 7, followed by the CAA Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 9.
