TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University women's tennis team wrapped up the third and final day of the Towson Hidden Duals at the Tiger Tennis Complex. The Tigers picked up two singles wins against Hampton, and one doubles win against Coppin State.
"We lost two tough matches and won three," commented head coach
Jamie Peterson. "This was a good conclusion to the first weekend of competition. We look forward to our next opportunity in two weeks at Loyola."
Singles
Kiersten Tambe picked up a singles win against Hampton's Toffee Ghorab in a 10-4 tiebreaker after set scores of 6-1 and 5-7.Â
Tamzin Pountney dropped to Serena Bryan in a tiebreaker 10-4 after 2-6, 6-3.
Chandré Boshoff secured another singles win for the Tigers to Melis Sakiroglu in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-1.
Chloe Courtnage fell in a close game to Tanya Midzi, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-5.
Doubles
Sania Suchinsky and
Gaia Montecchi picked up the a doubles victory for Towson to Coppin State's Perue and Johnson 6-2, 6-1.
