Last Meet Recap
Towson traveled to Philadelphia on January 10 to compete at the Penn Select, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The Black & Gold collected four gold medals and posted nine new marks on the program's all-time list.
Senior Leeann Redlo delivered a standout performance in the high jump, clearing 1.78m to place first, set a meet record and rank 16th nationally. Redlo also competed in the 60m hurdles, clocking a PR of 8.66 in the prelims to place second overall and move into fifth all-time in Towson history. In the finals, she secured a second-place finish with a time of 8.75.
Freshman Kadidja Ouattara added another gold for the Tigers in the 200m, posting a time of 24.90. In the 400m, Qiora Rollins took first place with a time of 56.52, ranking sixth all-time at Towson. The 4x400m relay team of Spencer Settle, Baara Stewart, Nesther Wea, and Rollins closed out the day with Towson's fourth gold medal, crossing the line in 3:45.52.
Following their performances at the Penn Select, Leeann Redlo and Baara Stewart earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors. Redlo was named Field Athlete of the Week, while Stewart earned Track Athlete of the Week recognition. In addition to her role on the gold-medal 4x400m relay, Stewart competed in the 800m, finishing sixth overall with a time of 2:13.06. The mark ranks second all-time in Towson history and 38th nationally.
