TOWSON, Md. – Towson University Field Hockey head coach
Katie Gerzabek Salem has announced the signing of Lily Ippolito on Wednesday. Ippolito becomes the ninth player overall and fifth rookie of the 2026 signing class.
"We are excited to bring Lily to Towson! Both her high school and club programs are historically known to be championship level programs. Her experience competing in championship environments and holding herself to high standards will help her be successful at the Division 1 level." Coach Gerzabek Salem announced, "Her speed, athleticism and solid fundamental skills will be a great addition to our Back 5 unit. Welcome Lily!"
Lily Ippolito hails from Chester Springs, Pennsylvania where she was a defender for Villa Maria Academy. In her time with the Hurricanes, Ippolito won four district championships and one state championship and was named to the All-AACA Second Team. Playing club hockey for the WC Eagles, Ippolito won six National Indoor Tournament Championships as well as championships at the Winter Escape Showcase and the Thanksgiving Showcase.
"I loved the school and felt very connected to the culture with the team and the coaches made me feel so welcomed," Ippolito said.
