WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – The Towson women's golf team ended the first day of the Tribe Invitational in a tie with the hosts for sixth place.
Victoriah Kuranga is in 11th place at eight-over par after shooting four-over in both rounds on the day.
Kuranga birdied the ninth hole in both rounds, a 329-yard par four. She parred 11 of the 18 holes during her second round.
Grace Oristian shot 11-over par on the day, good for 22nd place. Oristian carded an even par on the back nine during round two.
The day was very high scoring with every school other than Dartmouth shooting 10-over par in at least one round. Dartmouth is the only team that shot under 20-over par as a team. All but two teams shot 10-over par in both rounds. Towson is tied with William & Mary with the best performance of a CAA team.
