TOWSON, Md. – After a brief break to enjoy the Christmas holiday, the Towson University men's basketball team returns to the hardwood to start its 18-game Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) slate against Northeastern.
The visiting Huskies will be the third opponent in the Tigers' last five games that participated in last season's NCAA Tournament. The Huskies have appeared in the last two CAA Tournament championship games, capturing last season's title with a win over Hofstra.
Towson's first three CAA games are against the three teams that won at least 20 games last season. Northeastern, Hofstra and College of Charleston combined to win 74 games during the 2019-20 season. Northeastern (NCAA) and Hofstra (NIT) competed in the postseason. On a bright note, five of Towson's first seven CAA contests are at home.
