Baltimore, MD – The Towson University track & field team is staying local for this weekend's competitions, attending the Johns Hopkins/Loyola Invite and Morgan State Legacy meet.

11 athletes will be attending the John Hopkins/Loyola Track & Field Invitational which takes place on April 21 and 22.

Start Times: Friday will consist of the weight and hammer throw starting at 2:00 p.m. while Saturday begins at 10:30 a.m. with women's 5000m and men's javelin.

Last Meet Recap
The Tigers saw seven first place finishes at the NSU Invitational last weekend. Maya Tucker won the 100 (11.49) and 200 meter dashes, taking down the program record in the 200 with a new personal best of 23.42. The 4x100 picked up their fourth consecutive win of the season, clocking the second fastest time in Towson history – 45.54. Georgia Coleman won the hammer throw with a toss of 55.84 meters. Fatimah Owens took first in discus (47.65m) and shot put (13.39m). Leeann Redlo won the high jump for the second time this season with a mark of 1.62 meters.

At the Bison Outdoor Classic Alexis Mogensen picked up a new PR in the 1500m, 4:51.51. Aubrey Schaffer debuted in the 10k, running the eighth fastest time in program history - 37:47.67. Sophia Skinner ran a PR of 2:22.70 in the 800m.
