WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Towson University women's golf team wrapped up day one of play at the UNCG Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in 11
th place. Following one round of 18 holes the Tigers finished with a 309 (+21).
Morehead State University leads the field in first place with a 290 (+2).
Isabella Portokalis led the Tigers day one efforts after shooting 74 (+2) to tie for 13th. The senior was on par for 14 of the 18 holes, notching a birdie on No. 15.
Two strokes behind her was
Madison Barber who shot 76 (+4) for the day. The graduate student recorded two birdies during the front nine and was on par for eight of the back nine.
Freshman
Grace Oristian shot 78 (+6), earning a birdie on hole 18.
Faith McIlvain wrapped up with a score of 81 (+9), totaling two birdies.
Peyton Costabile rounded out the squad with an 83 (+11).
Kyndall Campbell, competing as an individual, finished the day with an 82 (+10).
The second round of play resumes tomorrow morning.
