The Tigers competed in the two-day Darius Dixon Memorial last week and netted several PRs, all-time marks and a new school record.
Aubrey Schaffer shaved nine seconds off her previous PR in the 5000m, setting a new personal best of 18:15:08 and earning a second-place finish overall in the open session.
Sydney Tucker,
Ty'Liyah Hannah and
Kelis Milburn each set new PRs in the 300m dash as well. Tucker led the charge with 40.20, second all-time in program history. Hannah followed up with 40.83, fourth fastest all-time. Milburn ended it off with 41.75, a near two-second PR for her.
Schaffer, along with
Lexi Mogensen,
Satori Valentine and
Baara Stewart helped break the school record for the distance medley relay with a time of 12:14:07.
The 4x400 relay (
Maya Tucker,
Satori Valentine,
Cristal Cuervo,
Ty'Liyah Hannah) clocked a season best 3:49.00, which ranks third all-time.
In the Rankings:
The Tigers are currently ranked seventh in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and 14
th in the Mid-Atlantic region via the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings.
In the conference rankings,
Maya Tucker (7.58) and
Sydney Tucker (7.58) are tied for eighth in the 60m while
Ty'Liyah Hannah (7.62) is ranked tenth.
Cristal Cuervo (24.00) is ranked fifth in the 200m while
Maya Tucker (24.66) is ranked eighth.
Cristal Cuervo (54.94) is ranked second in the 400m. The 4x400 relay team consisting of
Maya Tucker,
Satori Valentine,
Cristal Cuervo and
Ty'Liyah Hannah (3:49:00) is ranked fifth.
