SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The Towson University women's golf team wrapped up the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship in sixth place after rounds of 331-329-306, finishing with a final score of 966 (+102).
Delaware claimed the tournament title, winning with a score of 909 (+45). Reigning champion College of Charleston and UNCW tied for second to round out the podium after shooting 913 (+49). Viktoria Hund of Charleston and Lilia Henkel of Delware tied for first individually after wrapping up the event with scores of 223 (+7).
Faith McIlvain was the top finisher for the Tigers as she placed 28
th overall, improving after each round. The senior recorded scores of 84, 81 and 75 to finish at 24-over par. She tallied eight birdies across 54 holes, three of which were during the second round.
Madison Barber wrapped up her final collegiate tournament right behind McIlvain, tying for 29
th after carding 79, 85 and 77.
Isabella Portokalis tied for 33
rd after having rounds of 84, 85 and 76. The senior tallied four birdies, three of which were during her final and best round.
Peyton Costabile (84-87-78) and
Rayab Lee (84-78-87) tied for 36
th, wrapping up the tournament 33-over par.
