The Tribe got out to a hot start, winning the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-0 decisions on courts No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. William & Mary went onto win all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 sweep. Themis Haliou was the only Tiger to win a set, pushing her match on court No. 2 to three sets. CAA Tournament 2021 Recap

Towson advanced to the 2021 CAA Tournament Quarterfinals after defeating Hofstra, 4-0, in the first round. With the No. 3 team of Amelia Lawson and Lea Kosanovic winning by default, the Tigers only had to win one match to clinch the doubles point. Towson's top doubles duo of Themis Haliou and Alexa Martinez did so in less than 25 minutes, winning 6-0, 6-0.

The Tigers went up 3-0 when Lauryn Jacobs (No. 5 singles) and Jessica Assenmacher (No. 6) earned wins by default meaning Towson only needed to win one of the remaining singles matches to win. Martinez (No. 1), Haliou (No. 2), Lawson (No. 3) and Sarah Pospischill (No. 4) all won their first sets. Pospischill clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Lawson led her match 6-0, 4-0.

The team then fell to top-seeded James Madison, 4-0, to end their run in the tournament.

William & Mary is riding a four-match winning streak into the CAA Tournament, defeating Delaware (4-3), Towson (7-0), Richmond (6-1) and Elon (5-2). The Tribe have only dropped one match in conference play to top-seeded Charleston on March 19, in a close 4-3 decision.

W&M's top singles player, Mila Saric, is 14-3 at the top lineup spot and has won her last six matches. She is also 3-2 over nationally ranked opponents. Paired with Hedda Gurholt, the duo leads the team in doubles with an 8-7 mark on court No. 1.
