ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson University track & field team is set to open the 2023-24 indoor season down the road, heading to the Naval Academy on December 2 for the Navy Indoor Invitational.

Indoor 2022-23 Recap
The Black & Gold posted 25 marks in the indoor top-10 all-time list throughout the 2022-23 season, capping off with a sixth-place finish at the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championships. Following CAA's the Tigers attended the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championships where they placed sixth out of 43 teams.
The Tigers earned two bronze and one silver medal at CAAs to total three podium finishes. On the first day Fatimah Owens tossed a PR mark of 18.61 meters in the weight throw to place third overall. Cristal Cuervo and alum
Aliyah Anderson picked up bronze and silver medals respectively on the final day of competition. Cuervo placed third in the
200m after clocking a PR of 24.31 and Anderson finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.64m. Owens, Anderson and Cuervo received All-CAA honors at the conclusion of the meet for their performances.
At ECACs the team saw nine top-10 finishes including a first-place finish from Leeann
Redlo in the high jump after posting a PR of 1.75 meters. Manie
Mevo posted the second-best mark in program history in the triple jump at the meet, placing fifth overall with 12.13m.
Redlo was also named CAA Rookie of the Year following her first collegiate season. The New York native earned her spot in Towson's top-10 all-time list for three separate events, and concluded the indoor season ranked second and fourth in the CAA for the high jump and
pentathalon respectively.
Sydney Tucker and Maya Tucker frequented the top-10 list as well, appearing under the 4x400 relay top performances three separate times. For individual marks, Sydney Tucker finished the indoor season ranked fourth in program history for the 60m dash (7.59) while Maya Tucker posted the fourth fastest time in the
200m dash (24.32).
