A four-year standout for the Tiger women’s basketball program, Stephanie Roche Willson '80 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1993.

She finished her career as Towson’s all-time leading scorer (1044 points). She was the first Towson women’s basketball player to score 1000 career points and still ranks in the top 10 in scoring.

Honored as Towson’s Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year in 1979, she was named first team all-state as a junior and senior. She led the Tigers to the EAIAW Division II championship as a senior and was named to the EAIAW all-tournament team.

In her final season, she was the team’s top scorer with a 14.4 ppg average and also led the Tigers with 11.1 rebounds per game. When she graduated, her 404 points and 311 rebounds were single-season records.

The mother of three children, Roche Willson married Carter Willson, a Towson graduate and former Tiger quarterback. Her father, Sid Roche, was inducted into the Loyola College Hall of Fame in 1993 as well.
