Hall of Fame
The only Towson student-athlete who is a three-time GTE Academic All-American, Kerrin Mohr O’Neill '89 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1999.
She was a four-year standout for the Tigers as a pitcher and hitter. She was named second team Academic All-American as a sophomore and junior before making first team as a senior.
In her career, she posted a 35-22 record with a 1.48 earned run average. When she graduated, she owned the school record for wins in a season (13) and career (35). She also pitched seven shutouts in her career and had a no-hitter as a junior. In her senior year, she had a 13-5 record and helped Towson to a second place finish in the ECC Tournament.
The winner of the 1989 East Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete Award, she was honored as Towson’s Top Scholar-Athlete in 1989. A member of Kappa Delta Pi (the National Education Honor Society), she earned her master’s degree in guidance and counseling last year. After graduation, she spent five years as a middle school English teacher.
The mother of two daughters, she resides in Bel Air with her family.
