She was a key contributor to the Tiger volleyball and lacrosse teams. She was a three-time letter winner for the Tiger volleyball team, serving as the team’s setter. She also earned four letters for the lacrosse team, serving as the Tiger goalkeeper. She was a volleyball co-captain in 1979 and served as a lacrosse co-captain three years in a row.

As a member of the volleyball squad, she led the Tigers to the 1979 Maryland Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (MAIAW) championship. At the MAIAW Tournament, she was named to the all-tournament team.

A Kingsville native who graduated from Perry Hall High School, Mary was one of the top goalkeepers in college lacrosse during her career. In her junior year, she averaged 18.9 saves per game while allowing just 7.1 goals per outing. She led the Tigers to a 13-6 record and a second place finish in the United States Women’s Lacrosse Associate Division II championship tournament. Mary was named as the South I goalkeeper as well as the all-tournament team.

In her senior year, she averaged 15.0 saves per game in leading Towson to a 10-7 record and the Maryland State Championship. A four-time all-state selection, she was named as a reserve on the United States Lacrosse Squad in 1981.

Since the end of her playing career, she has been an outstanding coach at athletic administrator. As well as being the athletic director at Notre Dame Preparatory in Towson, Md., she has also served as an assistant coach on the US Developmental team while conducting numerous goalkeeping clinics in the Baltimore area.

The co-founder of the Sunfest Lacrosse League, she served four terms as president of the Association of Independent Schools. She is also serving on several committees within the new league.

Honored as The Baltimore Sun Coach of the Year for lacrosse, she has also been named Athletic Director of the Year within District 10 of the Maryland Scholastic Athletic Directors Association.

This is the third Hall of Fame in which she has been inducted. Previously, she was named to Perry Hall High School Hall of Fame and the Greater Baltimore Chapter’s Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
