She finished her career as Towson’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder. In her four-year career, she was named first team all-conference three times and made second team all-conference once.
A native of Medford, N.J., Danielle enjoyed an outstanding freshman year, a season in which she was named first team All-East Coast Conference. A member of the ECC All-Rookie team, she averaged 13.5 points and a team-high 9.4 rebounds per game. A five-time selection as ECC Rookie of the Week, she also led the ECC with a .534 field goal percentage. However, she missed the final three games of the season due a knee injury that required surgery.
As a sophomore, she came back strong from her knee surgery and averaged 15.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. While leading the team in scoring and rebounding, she earned second team All-ECC honors. She also led the league with a .560 field goal percentage. In the 1992-93 season, the Tigers moved to the Big South Conference, and Barry was named first team All-Big South. In her first Big South season, she averaged a team-high 12.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest.
As a senior, she led the Tigers to a 17-11 record and third place in the Big South. Barry led Towson with a 17.3 scoring average and also topped the team in rebounding for the fourth year in a row with an 8.7 mark. Honored as Towson University’s Female Athlete of the Year as a senior, she graduated as Towson’s career leader in scoring with 1,555 points and rebounding with 981 rebounds. She also set Towson career records for field goal percentage (.531) and field goals made (600).
