Hall of Fame
A USILA Division I first team All-American as a midfielder in 1996, Tim Langton '96 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 2008.
He is just the second Tiger to earn Division I first team All-America honors. A North-South All-Star in 1996, Langton earned first team All-America East accolades as a senior. He also won the team's Ferrante Award in 1995 as a junior who had proven academic excellence.
During his career, the Tigers did not rank lower than 16th in the final USILA poll and reached the NCAA Tournament twice. From 1993-96, Towson had a winning record every year, and Langton was part of a team that went 5-1 in the America East in its first season in the conference.
In 1996, the Tigers defeated local rival Loyola (Md.) 16-11 in the first round at Navy before falling to Princeton at Rutgers in the quarterfinals.
He played in 47 career games and totaled 58 goals and 16 assists for 74 career points. Langton was the team's second-leading goal scorer as a senior with a tally of 27. He also added 33 ground balls that season to finish with 101 for his career.
