Hall of Fame
A four-year standout in lacrosse and two-year performer in football, Frank Mezzanotte '73 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1989.
He earned third team All-American honors for the Tigers in 1973 as a defenseman and was named All-South Atlantic in 1970. Mezzanotte helped the lacrosse team to a 45-15 record in his career. He also played linebacker for the Tiger football team.
A teacher in Harford County, he worked as the head lacrosse coach and an assistant football coach at Edgewood High School. The 1983 Baltimore-area “Coach of the Year,” he led the Rams to the state lacrosse championship. Mezzanotte was a two-time pick as Harford County’s “Coach of the Year.” The winner of the 1984 US Club Lacrosse “Man of the Year” award, he was a leader in developing the sport in Harford County.
