Hall of Fame
One of the finest tennis players in Towson history, Audrey Morse '75 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1991.
She played tennis in 1972 and 1973 and was also a member of the Tiger women’s basketball team for two years. As the Tigers’ number one singles player, she was undefeated for two years and turned professional in 1973.
As a pro, she played for Baltimore in the World Team Tennis League in 1974 and played in the qualifying round of the U.S. Open in 1976. She won the Maryland State women’s championship four times and the Middle Athletic States title three times.
A teach professional in the Baltimore area for over 20 years, she worked with many of the top junior players. In 1975, she served as the head coach of the Tiger men’s tennis team, guiding the squad to a 10-8 record. She also held a position as an insurance agent for State Farm.
