A four-year letter winner in track & field, Lloyd Sigler '69 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1985.

He was the Mason-Dixon Conference indoor hurdle champion in 1969. Towson’s Trackman of the Year in 1969, he was a USTFF Track & Field All-American in the decathlon in 1969. An AAU All-American in track & field from 1972-78, he was also the AAU South Athletic Association Track & Field Athlete of the Year in 1978.

A 1969 graduate of Towson, he was the Maryland indoor pentathlon champion in 1974 and 1975 and was also the Florida Invitational pentathlon champion in 1975.

He worked as an assistant professor of health and physical education at Salisbury University and built the Seagulls’ cross country and track & field programs into teams that compiled seven straight winning seasons.

Sigler passed away in 2011.
