Hall of Fame
A member of Towson’s 1969 AIAW Division II national championship team, Candi Normile Klopp '71 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1993.
She was the first Tiger gymnast to earn All-America honors (1969). Normile Klopp finished eighth national in the all-around competition. Along with former teammate Dorothy Crocker Hyman, she is the first Tiger gymnast to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In addition to leading Towson to the national title, she helped the team post a 10-1 record as a junior and a 5-3 mark in her senior year. She graduated with a degree in nursing with highest honors.
Normile Klopp returned to serve as Towson’s coach in 1974-75 when George McGinty was on sabbatical. She led the team to a 4-6 record.
