Hall of Fame
A member of the soccer, tennis and wrestling teams, Bill Owings '58 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1982.
Owings was a key member of the '56 soccer team, helping the Tigers (then the Golden Knights) to a 7-1-2 overall record and a 5-0-2 Mason-Dixon conference mark. He was part of a team that dealt the University of Virginia two straight losses in 1954 and 1955.
In 1956, Owings won the 137 lb weight class championship and went undefeated in matches that season.
