Hall of Fame
A member of the first Towson football team, Bob Remeto '71 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 1991.
He still ranks as one of the all-time leading pass receivers in school history. With 127 catches for 1711 yards, he was the school’s all-time receiving leader until 1985. The winner of the Doc Minnegan Award as the Tigers’ Most Valuable Player in 1971, Remeto was also named as the Mason-Dixon Conference Lineman of the Year that season. He was named all-state and all-conference for three straight years and served as an assistant football coach for the Tigers in 1972 and 1973.
A guidance counselor, assistant football coach and junior varsity basketball coach at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School on the Eastern Shore, Remeto also volunteered with the YMCA, the Cub Scouts and earned a Maryland certification for counseling.
