A rare three-sport athlete and the last Towson student-athlete to compete in three different sports throughout her career, Barbara Kimball shined the brightest on the lacrosse field.

Kimball played three years of varsity field hockey and women’s basketball and starred for four years on the lacrosse team. She played forward on the field hockey team, was the starting point guard on the basketball team and played attack for the women’s lacrosse team.

She led the Tigers to several MAIAW titles, earning first team all-league honors. In 1975 she was selected as Towson’s Female Athlete of the Year. Following graduation Kimball played for the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse team. In 2008 she was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
