Towson men's lacrosse's first USILA first team All-America honoree and senior co-captain of the 1991 squad that reached the NCAA Division I national championship game, Rob Shek '92 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 2005.

A second team All-American who scored 30 goals as a junior, Shek was named the USILA Division I Midfielder of the Year in 1991 after leading the Tigers to an East Coast Conference (ECC) championship, a No. 10 final ranking, a 12-4 season and a trip to the NCAA finals.

He scored 35 goals with nine assists in 1992 as part of the Tigers' first midfield. A two-time All-ECC selection, Shek was a starter beginning in his sophomore year, when the Tigers reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since moving to Division I status.

In 1990, his top offensive effort came in a 15-7 win over Delaware that gave Towson the ECC title. Shek scored six goals, including three of the Tigers' first four.

Shek played a large part in one of the Towson lacrosse program's biggest wins, a 9-8 double overtime victory over then No. 1 Johns Hopkins on May 6, 1989. Both of his goals came during Towson's 5-0 scoring run; his first put the Tigers ahead 7-6 - the Tigers' first lead of the game.
